The hotel had its ups and downs, with a good size room but unfortunately had dirty and smelly conditions, including bugs and stains on the bed. The service was friendly and helpful overall, but lacked local knowledge. The location was barely a mile from the heart of downtown St Augustine, making it convenient despite some shortcomings. The dining experience was okay for proximity to the center of the city. There were stains on the carpet and blankets, but the hotel allowed a much-appreciated late checkout on a cold day.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious and nice overall, but there was a large crack between the top of the door and the door frame, which was a bit concerning. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to par as there were gross bugs and poop smears on the bed making it quite unpleasant. On the bright side, the staff recommended a restaurant, but the food at Schooners was subpar at best. The room had a bad smell and bugs, which was disappointing.

The hotel's rooms were non-smoking but had a cigarette smell when the A/C was turned on, and our room wasn't ready even though we were late. However, the hotel was okay but not really worth the price charged. They did have an air freshener treatment, though.
